The Delhi Pollution Control Committee has issued orders imposing a complete ban on production, storage, sale, distribution through online marketing platforms and bursting of all types of firecrackers by January 1, 2025 in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. This order has been issued by Environment Minister Gopal Rai in the Delhi Government. In an order issued, the Delhi Government has banned the use of firecrackers under Section 31(A) of the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution Act, 1981.
Appealing to the people of Delhi for everyone’s cooperation
Environment and Forest Minister Gopal Rai has also shared a copy of this order with his handle X. In which he wrote that, “In view of increasing pollution in winter, the ban on production, storage, sale and use of firecrackers will remain in force from today till January 1, 2025. A departmental order has also been issued regarding the ban on firecrackers.” At the same time, Gopal Rai appealed to the people of Delhi to be vigilant about environmental cleanliness and cooperate with the government in preventing pollution.

Environment Minister Gopal Rai also said, “The Delhi government is very serious about controlling pollution. To control pollution, the government is also preparing to implement a Winter Action Plan based on 21 points. Apart from this, people must fulfill their responsibility to stop pollution in Delhi.
