The auditorium was packed with new students, as was the Student House. Today, young people were the main focus on the three campuses of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), during a morning in which the UPCT welcomed 239 international students and over 700 new students from four schools: Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications, Naval Engineering, and Civil Engineering and Mining. The day was dedicated to familiarizing them with the facilities where they will pursue their university studies. For the first time, companies like González Soto, Regenera, Hidrogea, the Construction Technology Center, and Ilusion Sport Center joined the welcome day, setting up informational stands on the Alfonso XIII campus.
The new students also met their student tutors and representatives. “Help and defend” are the two key concepts that were conveyed to them by the Student Delegation of Telecommunications.
At the Student House, participants received guidance for their first steps at UPCT. Representatives from various services provided information on sports, scholarships and financial aid, national and international mobility programs, associations, and much more.
Telecommunications students received information about the TelecoLan Party and were encouraged to participate and put their learning into practice in a fun way.
