At 39 years old, Cielo Torres has secured her place as one of the most beloved figures in Peruvian entertainment, excelling in both music and television. While her career has flourished, her private life has recently been the subject of rumors, specifically about a possible romantic relationship with Miluska Jácome, the mother of Ernesto Pimentel’s son.
For the first time, Torres addressed the speculations during an interview, openly discussing her personal life, including her sexual orientation and the possibility of falling in love with a woman in the future.
Speaking with Ricardo Rondón on his podcast Rondón Tolón, Torres was candid about her views on love. Avoiding labels, she expressed her open-mindedness about the idea of forming a relationship with someone of the same gender.
“What I know is that I am very open to any kind of love, absolutely. I have no issue with it, so it doesn’t bother me what people say. Of course, I could fall in love with someone of the same sex. If it happens, I would absolutely embrace it,” Torres shared.
Rondón asked playfully, “Isn’t it obvious?” Torres responded with a slight laugh, saying, “What you can see is that I’m happy and don’t owe anyone an explanation. Currently, as I’ve said before, I’m single,” closing off immediate speculation about any ongoing relationship.
When Rondón pressed further, referring to the rumors about her connection with Miluska Jácome, Torres was diplomatic. “I’m not saying no to anything, but it’s not something I choose to talk about—whether it’s Miluska, Juanita, or anyone else. I’ve always kept my relationships private. Relationships require time and presence, and right now, I’m focused on my projects,” she stated.
Open to Criticism About Her Sexual Orientation
Torres also addressed the ongoing speculation about her sexual orientation, making it clear that while she isn’t bothered by discussions about her preferences, what does upset her is when people attribute her success to someone else.
“Comments about whether I like a woman or a man don’t bother me, but what touches my heart is when people say everything I have is thanks to someone else,” Torres revealed. She emphasized the hard work and dedication she’s invested in building her career, asserting that she will not allow her efforts to be minimized.
“I’ve been working for over 10 years in a variety of fields,” she continued, reminding people that she has excelled not only as a singer but also as an actress and producer, and has even worked selling circus tickets.
When it came to Ernesto Pimentel and Miluska Jácome, Torres expressed nothing but gratitude, acknowledging the opportunities they’ve given her throughout her career. “Ernesto and Miluska have given me great opportunities, and I’ll always be grateful to them. Today, they’re like family to me. They’ve adopted me into their lives,” she said, reaffirming the deep friendship and support she shares with the couple.
