The Provincial Council of Cádiz has announced the final resolution of the public call for grants aimed at sports clubs and associations in the province. These grants support the organization and participation in non-professional, federated sports competitions at the provincial, regional, and national levels for the year 2024.
A total of 18 sports clubs and associations from Jerez have been awarded these subsidies, with the maximum amount per grant set at €3,000. The subsidies granted to Jerez’s clubs and associations range between €1,400 and €2,300, with a total sum close to €39,000.
The Sports Delegate, José Ángel Aparicio, praised the Provincial Council’s commitment to major sporting events organized in Jerez and to amateur sports in the city. “The Provincial Council is always present at championships, tournaments, and trophies held in Jerez. Additionally, the provincial institution invests in sports facilities both in the urban and rural areas of Jerez,” he stated.
Aparicio also emphasized that these grants enable Jerez’s sports clubs and associations to participate in provincial, regional, and national competitions. “This financial support is always welcome for the events that these clubs and associations organize or take part in throughout the season,” he added.
The extensive list of clubs and associations from Jerez that have benefited from the Provincial Council’s subsidies includes: Club de Tenis de Mesa Jerez, Club Baloncesto Jerez, Club Voleibol Jerez, CD Xerez Féminas FC, Club Atletismo Chapín, Xerez Deportivo FC, Club Deportivo FS 2014, Florida Club Deportivo Unión Deportiva, CD Jerez Atlético 2024, Club Natación Jerez, CD Xerez FUTSAL, CD Gimnasia Artística Jerez, Asociación Deportiva de Nueva Jarilla, CD Jerez Natación Máster, CD ANPEHI, CD Petanca Guadalcacín, Club Deportivo de Sordos de Jerez, and Asociación Deportiva Cultural de la Policía Local Sherrypol.
