Life on Mars
Sending humans to Mars appears to represent a new milestone in the search for life in space. But the dream of establishing life on Mars seems difficult due to the harsh conditions that this planet is experiencing, and experts have warned that if people are sent here, the color of people may turn green and their eyes may become green. According to the Indy100 website, Dr. Scott Solomon, a biologist at Rice University in Texas, USA, explained that children born to human settlers on this red planet will face a series of massive mutations and evolutionary changes.
Life on Mars is not easy
In his book, Future Humans, Dr. Solomon claimed that due to the extremely harsh conditions on Mars, it may be extremely difficult for humans to survive, let alone thrive, on the planet. If human Martians had children, he wrote, those children might undergo various radical mutations and evolutionary changes. Dr. Solomon explained that these mutations can be caused by low gravitational forces and high radiation and can lead to green skin color, weak muscles, poor vision and osteoporosis.
This is the big reason
According to Indy100, Mars is a smaller planet than Earth and has 30% less gravity than where we evolved to live. The Red Planet also lacks a magnetic field and a protective ozone layer, leaving the planet open to space radiation, ultraviolet rays, charged particles from the Sun, and cosmic rays. This type of environment causes humans to mutate at a high rate so that they can adapt to new conditions. This can cause skin discoloration to help deal with the radiation, Dr. Solomon explained.
Green people will be found on Mars
“Maybe in the face of this high radiation,” he wrote in his book, “we can develop some new types of skin color to help deal with this radiation. And maybe we will get our own green man.” Furthermore, the expert claimed that fragile bones due to lack of gravity can cause a woman’s pelvis to fracture during childbirth. He also said that vision could be impaired because the need to see is reduced as humans live together in small spaces.
Plans to start life on Mars soon
It is worth noting that so far only unmanned spacecraft have visited Mars, but this may change soon. The US space agency NASA hopes to land the first humans on Mars by the 2030s, and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently said that humans could live in a city on the red planet within the next thirty years. Several new missions are also being released before the set deadline to enhance exploration.
