Prayagraj: A doctor from Swarup Nehru Hospital (SRN) in the district committed suicide in his car. Another doctor at the hospital alerted the police. After receiving the information, DCP City Abhishek Bharti, ACP Manoj Singh and SP Shwetabh Pandey reached the spot. Police investigations revealed that the deceased doctor had injected Neuvek in his arm, which caused his death. Currently, the police have secured the body and sent it for a post-mortem. After the post-mortem is carried out, it will be clear whether the doctor died because of the injection or because of something else? According to police investigation, prima facie it was a case of suicide. The police are collecting information from the deceased doctor’s acquaintances as to why the doctor committed suicide.

Will be revealed after post mortem

Based on the information received, Kartikey Srivastava, a resident of Haridwar, is a doctor at the Artho section of SRN Hospital. Late at night, his blue car was parked in the SRN Hospital parking lot. When another doctor came to take his car out of the parking lot to go home for the evening, they saw Dr. Karthikeya lay dead in the driver’s seat of his car. After that the doctors informed other doctors at the hospital and the police were also informed. Many police officers and SOG teams including DCP City reached the spot. The body of the deceased doctor has been removed from the car and sent for a post-mortem.

Syringes and empty vials were recovered from the body

The police team searched the car, which contained an empty syringe bottle and a syringe called Niuvek which was stored in the side seat of the car. Therefore, it is feared that the doctor himself will inject his hand. However, the cause of the doctor’s death was only known after the post-mortem report came. DCP City Abhishek Bharti, who reached the spot, said that the doctor’s body was recovered from his car and prima facie it was a case of suicide. What is the reason behind this will only be known after investigation. The police are also investigating what the doctor was worried about that led him to commit suicide.
