Bollywood star Sridevi died in 2018. Sridevi’s body was found in the bathroom of a hotel in Dubai under suspicious circumstances. After the actress’ death, the entire industry mourned. The movie stars said goodbye to him for the last time. Now, six years after the actress’ death, a square has been built in her name in Mumbai. Last night on Dussehra, a square in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala area was named after actress Sridevi Chowk. Sridevi’s husband and producer Boney Kapoor was present on the special occasion. Apart from Boney Kapoor, his daughter Khushi Kapoor was also present at the ceremony. During this inauguration, Shabana Azmi was also present at Sridevi Chowk.
Sridevi lived here for many years
Sridevi Chowk was built near Green Acres Towers in Lokhandwala. Sridevi has lived here for many years. A pillar with Sridevi’s image was installed in this square. Boney Kapoor looked quite emotional on the occasion of the inauguration of this square. Apart from this, her daughter Khushi Kapoor was seen remembering her mother in a very emotional way. Boney and Khushi paid tribute to the late Sridevi by inaugurating a road crossing in her name. Photos and videos from the event are circulating on social media. In a video posted by a paparazzo on Instagram, Boney can be seen removing the cloth covering Sridevi’s photo.
Boney also touches his wife’s photo while Khushi stands next to him and looks touched. Sridevi Kapoor Chowk is written on a stone dedicated to her memory. The launch took place on October 12 at 6 p.m. and Shabana was also present to show her support. The plaza is located at an intersection near Sridevi’s longtime residence, Green Acres Tower, where she lived for many years before her death in 2018. The place has an emotional significance, and Boney and Khushi looked overwhelmed by the crowd that flocked to the place. Jhanvi Kapoor was not present at the inauguration ceremony.
