I had a great time shooting Welcome, both Anil and Nana literally fought for me. They tried to get my attention; Imagine how important this was to me! He is a wonderful person and has incredible energy as an actor. When asked if she expected the film to have a cult status, Mallika honestly replied, “We shot in Dubai, it was so hot there that our makeup melted, so no one had any idea about the fate of the film and it didn’t bother me. We all just wanted to pack up and go home quickly.

Welcome is a 2007 Bollywood comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. The film featured an all-star cast including Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Mallika Sherawat and Paresh Rawal. The plot revolves around two criminals, Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar) and Majnu Bhai (Anil Kapoor), who are determined to get Uday’s sister Sanjana (Katrina Kaif) married into a respectable family. Things take an absurd turn when she falls in love with Rajeev (Akshay Kumar), a normal boy with no criminal connections. “Hello” was a huge box office success, praised for its strong comedy, witty dialogue and memorable performances. Especially Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar whose comic moment as dashing gangsters was widely appreciated. The film was famous for its gripping plot and became one of the most iconic Bollywood comedies of the late 21st century. Its success led to a sequel, Welcome Back (2015), which featured most of the original cast.
