A high-budget film about a superhit couple flopped
This film was released in theaters on August 2, 2024, in which a pair of Bollywood superheroes could be seen on screen. Earlier, this pair has given many superhit movies, so the makers have also bet on this pair. However, few people expected that the film would achieve such high box office results after its premiere. Yes, we are talking about Ajay Devgan and Tabu starrer ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ which, apart from Ajay-Tabu, also featured stars like Sai Manjrekar, Shantanu Maheshwari and Jimmy Shergill.
The film failed to recover even 20 percent of its budget
The film’s cast promoted it a lot before its premiere, but unfortunately the film did not bring the expected profits to its creators. On the contrary, it caused such a loss to the creators that they failed to recover even 20 percent of the budget. The makers have staked Rs 100 crore on this film directed by Neeraj Pandey and the hit pair of Ajay Devgan-Tabu. However, this romantic drama was unable to collect even Rs 13 crore at the box office and was stuck at Rs 12.91 crore.
Released on OTT
Now this 2024 mega-flop will be released on OTT after theatres. Recently, the makers announced the OTT release of ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’. Now it remains to be seen what kind of response the Ajay Devgan and Tabu film will receive from the audience on OTT. The film was streamed on Amazon Prime Video, which was announced by the OTT platform recently.
