The Valsassina Country Festival would be alive with the spirit of the Wild West between 20 and 22 September 2024, one day more than usual, in the renowned Lombardy region.
Organized by the 700 Mt Soprailcielo Association, the event will take place at the Fornace area, Pasturo, in the town of Barzio near Lecco.
Entry is free for all at the ninth edition, which has secured various attractions, entertainment, and fun activities.
The festival is an extremely enchanting fairyland of the West, with vast prairies dotted with cowboys and pioneers.
There will be unforgettable melodies rumbling, together with sumptuous Western cuisine full of flavor.
Valsassina Country Festival means enchantment, a journey to the very heart of the Wild West, where guests can take part in this adventurous spirit themselves.
Fun Over and Above: Homage to the Pioneer Life
Moreover, the festival does not only focus on entertainment but narrates stories of hard pioneer living filled with victories and defeats.
This descends in tune with the hardworking essence that characterizes the Wild West, where representatives from everywhere live out life daily on the frontier according to noble ideals and moral integrity.
Attractions and Activities
The Country Valsassina Festival occupies an area of 100,000 square meters with 4,000 square meters covered.
Other attractions that can be enjoyed include breathtaking acrobatic displays on horseback from the Centro di Equitazione di Primaluna and the Amazzoni di Cortabbio, Western-style competitions such as the Gimkana Western, and demonstrations of soft methods of horse training.
The Magic Farm educational farms create conditions to interactively conduct the children on discovering the amazing world of animals: learning, grooming, and animal games.
A well-prepared team from the N-Team Dog Center, together with the riding school Le Amazzoni, manages to involve the children in dog and donkey pet therapy sessions, agility-dog shows, and allow them to come into contact with ponies, dogs, and donkeys.
Other activities include workshops of creative learning and the traditional pony and horse riding baptism.
Special Tributes and Highlights
The festival will also be conducting the Mr. Cadillac Memorial Day in honor of Remo Ceriotti, an avid collector and benefactor of the annual festival event.
Participants can also engage in the Third American Classic Car Rally and the Second Road the Matt, a motorcycle rally courtesy of the Innominati Bikers with the cooperative assistance of the Italian Motorcycle Federation.
For those who want the full outdoors experience, this festival has areas for campers and tents.
There will be live music and DJ performances, including the traditional Country’s Got Talent show.
Of course, the food will be the highlight of the event, with delicious grilled specialties that evoke the flavors and scents reminiscent of the prairies.
