From September 13 to 15, the historic centre of Vicenza will be transformed into a theatre for performances, music and art: the activities will range from early afternoon up to late night – for everybody of any age.
Vicenza is getting ready for the 2024 White Night that will transform the historical heart of the city into an area full of life, culture, and fun.
More than 100,000 visitors who will be welcomed for three days with music, performances, and attractions for young and old alike will attend it.
Main Squares at the Heart of the Event
The main squares of Vicenza will be the epicenter of the celebration.
From Piazza Duomo, passing through Contra’ Garibaldi, to Piazza San Lorenzo, Piazza Castello, and up to Piazza dei Signori, there will be live concerts, street food, and entertainment.
Piazza dei Signori will host a maxi padel arena thanks to Golden Padel, as well as the presentation of Vicenza’s sports teams to kick off the upcoming season.
Music and Shows
The performances of Ciampa DJ and Albe Dalla will light up the Piazza Castello on Friday night; on Saturday, Francesco Vero and Mabe will perform there.
Antonio Casolo and Valery Vog are expected at Piazza Duomo. The performances of The Professors and Aurea are scheduled at Piazza delle Poste.
From 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, a succession of musical and theatrical performances will take place in Piazza San Lorenzo and Contra’ Garibaldi, with particular attention paid to young artists under 35 years of age.
Live Music in Local Venues
During White Night, concerts and performances will take place in local restaurants and other venues such as Trattoria Oca Bianca, Ristorante Ovosodo, and Locanda del Gusto, making it even more dynamic with many kinds of entertainment.
Children’s Area
In the Piazza Biade area, inflatables, trampolines, and games will delight the youngest visitors.
Cultural and Museum Events
During the event, the many museums will have extended opening hours with special discounts.
Exhibitions and activities will be organized for children at Palazzo Thiene and Palazzo Chiericati on Friday and Saturday, special evening openings at Palladian Basilica and Palazzo Cordellina with book presentations, “Silent Book Club” at Parco Querini, offering a silent open space outdoors to read while the sport festival will enable the participants to take part in the activities and meetings with the athletes.
Traffic and Parking
To adapt to the big influx of visitors, the Cricoli and Cattaneo parking lots will extend their opening hours until 3:00 AM, offering a shuttle service to connect the main city locations.
