ISRO Chief Dr. S. Somnath revealed that ISRO could do the SPADEX (Space Docking Experiment) mission in December. Because docking in space is a very important technology for Chandrayaan-4. Docking means bringing different parts together and connecting them.
Currently, integration of SPADEX satellites is underway. These will be ready in a month. After that they will be tested. There are simulations. ISRO is expected to launch it on or before 15 December 2024. This mission will be the first step towards completing the docking process in space.

Why is the SPADEX mission important?
This technology, which connects two different things in space, will help India build its own space station. It will also help the Chandrayaan-4 project. Spadex means two parts in one satellite. These will be launched in a single rocket. Both are emitted at different points in space.
Experiments in low earth orbit
After this, these two parts will be connected to Earth in lower orbit. So they became a unit again. There is a lot of work involved in this whole process – the two separate parts find each other in space by themselves. will come to them. So that they fall into the same orbit. After this both join each other.

What are the next missions of ISRO?
After this, ISRO will conduct two tests of Gaganyaan. First Test Vehicle Demonstration-2 (TVD2) and first unmanned mission (G1). During this time, Integrated Air Drop Test and Pad Abort Test are also conducted. A humanoid Viomitra female robot will also go on the G1 mission. So that its effect can be studied.
The G1 has Vyomitra on one seat and Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) on the other seat. The data of both will be analyzed. So that we can know what kind of effect it has on humans in space. And what a difference it makes to electronics, hardware, software, etc.
