New Delhi: Every year there is great enthusiasm among devotees regarding the Chhath festival. The festival begins with Shashthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha. Chhathi Maiya is worshiped on this occasion. The Chhath festival is celebrated after Diwali, where the Sun God is worshipped. In such a situation, the Delhi government has started preparations for Chhath Puja. Which will directly benefit the people.
CM Atishi announced
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi made a big announcement regarding Chhath Puja on Monday and said that 1000 ‘model ghats’ will be built so that the people of Purvanchal (Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh) can celebrate the Chhath festival well. These ghats will be built in 70 constituencies.
The Delhi government said that in the high-level meeting, the CM directed officials to coordinate with the Chhath Puja committee and incorporate their suggestions and make other preparations for the festival including arrangements for lighting, clean water, toilets, tents, security at the ghats to be provided.
Atishi assured that there would be no inconvenience in this festival. During this period, clean water, electricity, tents, security, toilets, medical facilities, CCTV cameras, power backup and other necessary arrangements will be made at the ghats.
Atishi has instructed officials to pay special attention to cleanliness at the ghats. During this period, the CM has also directed all District Magistrates to hold meetings with local Chhath Puja committees in their areas to collect suggestions for organizing the festival.
