The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Canada’s Chargé d’Affaires was summoned by the Secretary (East) this evening. He was told that the unwarranted targeting of the Indian High Commissioner and other diplomats and officials in Canada was completely unacceptable. In such a situation, the Ambassador serving in Canada was informed that India reserves the right to take further steps in response to the Trudeau government’s support for extremism against India.
The Ministry of External Affairs said India received a diplomatic message from Canada yesterday, stating that the Indian High Commissioner and other diplomats were monitoring the ongoing investigation in connection with a case in the country.
