Caorle’s Tiziano Brichese Continues as Official Chef for European and World Cycling Championships

Chef Tiziano Brichese from the renowned Eden restaurant in Caorle has once again been selected as one of the official chefs for the Italian National Cycling Team.

Brichese is currently in Limburg, Belgium, where he will be supporting the cyclists during the European Championships, which run until Sunday. Afterward, he will head to Switzerland for the World Championships, taking place from September 21st to 29th. Brichese, a former national cyclist himself, was last called up for the Tour de l’Avenir in 1984. Now, he brings his culinary expertise to the table, continuing his unique connection with cycling, sports, and his beloved Veneto region.

The chef’s restaurant, Eden, located in Ottava Presa, Caorle, has long been recognized for its outstanding seafood dishes, evolving in recent years to offer increasingly sophisticated and innovative menus while maintaining a strong connection to tradition. Brichese’s presence at such prestigious events not only highlights his personal achievements but also shines a spotlight on Veneto’s rich culinary heritage.

“This re-appointment fills me with pride and happiness,” said Chef Tiziano. “I’m deeply grateful for the opportunities my work provides, for my family, and for my dedicated team, who seamlessly take charge of the kitchen during my absence.”

Joining Brichese is another Venetian chef, Giorgio Carolo, a veteran of multiple cycling events, including Strade Bianche, Milan-Sanremo, Tirreno Adriatico, and the Giro d’Italia with the French team Cofidis. Carolo has also been selected for the 2023 World Championships in Glasgow and the 2024 Olympics in Paris with the Italian National Cycling Team.
