Beirut: On Friday, one of the densely populated southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, was subjected to an Israeli air strike, as a result of which sounds of explosions were heard in the capital. The attack came an hour after thousands of people attended the funeral of a senior Hezbollah leader. The commander was killed the day before. According to Hezbollah’s Al-Manar channel, four buildings were turned into rubble in a fire lane area in the suburb. The report said that the explosion was so powerful that it shook buildings located about 30 kilometers north of Beirut.
Attack on Hezbollah’s central headquarters
The Israeli army said it attacked Hezbollah’s central headquarters in Beirut. This was announced by Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari on television. After the Beirut explosion, a cloud of orange and black smoke covered the sky. This attack was carried out on the day that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a speech before the United Nations. According to three major Israeli television channels, these attacks were carried out to target Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. However, the army refused to comment on this.
Two people died and 76 were injured
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said that at least two people were killed and 76 others were injured in large-scale Israeli raids on a suburb of Beirut.
There will be destruction in Gaza like there is destruction in Lebanon
Let us tell you that Israel is carrying out rapid attacks in Lebanon. About 700 people were killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon this week. This information is provided by the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Israel intensified its attacks on Lebanon, saying it was targeting the military capabilities of Hezbollah and its senior leaders. Senior Israeli officials have threatened that if Hezbollah continues to fire, it will repeat the devastation in Lebanon as it did in Gaza.
The attacks will continue
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told world leaders at the United Nations on Friday that his country will continue attacks on Hezbollah until it achieves its goals along the border with Lebanon. With his statement, hopes for a ceasefire with international support to stop the regional war diminished. Netanyahu said that his government will no longer tolerate the daily launching of rockets from that region (Lebanon). He said: “Israel has every right to end this threat and send its citizens safely to their homes.” And that’s exactly what we do. We will continue to attack Hezbollah until we achieve all our goals.”
