Ratan Tata’s last rites were performed with full state honors at Worli crematorium in Mumbai on Thursday evening. World leaders paid tribute to Ratan Tata’s death and discussed his visionary leadership, philanthropic efforts and lasting impact on international relations. Ratan Tata (86), former Chairman of Tata & Sons Group, died on October 9, 2024.

Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also expressed his condolences on the death of Ratan Tata. KP Sharma Oli tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the demise of a true industry legend Ratan Tata. As Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, wrote on social media platform X, “In my last meeting with Ratan Tata at Google, we talked about the progress Waymo has made and his vision was inspiring.” He left an exceptional business and philanthropic legacy and played a vital role in guiding and developing modern business leadership in India.
