Seoul: North Korea on Friday accused South Korea of launching a drone over its capital to drop anti-country propaganda materials. Besides, Kim Jong-un issued a threat that strict retaliatory measures will be taken against such activity in the future. The North Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement that South Korean drones flew over the capital, Pyongyang, on October 3 and last Wednesday and Thursday. The ministry accused South Korea of violating North Korea’s sovereignty and threatening its security.
North Korea’s ministry said its security forces “will make all possible preparations for an attack” and that if South Korean drones are again seen on North Korean territory, it will take strong countermeasures without warning. The ministry said that if the mistake was repeated again, the neighboring country would have to prepare for an attack. There was no immediate reaction from the South Korean government and military to North Korea’s statement.
North Korea is preparing for war
Let us tell you that North Korea has been preparing for war for a long time. Tensions between the two countries have increased in recent months, with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un intensifying weapons tests and threatening attacks, and South Korea intensifying joint military exercises with the United States. North Korea said on Wednesday that it will permanently close its border with South Korea and develop its front-line defense capabilities to deal with “provocative actions” by South Korean and American forces.
