Islamabad: Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province has once again been rocked by suspected terrorist attacks. Terrorists attacked workers from Punjab who were sleeping in Balochistan on Sunday. At least seven workers died during this period. There could not be another morning in the life of these workers who slept after working at night. This is the latest targeted killing incident in Balochistan. The police said that these workers were working on building a house in the Khoda Abadan area of Panjjor town. The suspected terrorists carried out this attack when all the workers were sleeping under the same roof after working all day.
Police said they were all residents of Multan district in Punjab. “Seven workers died on the spot and another was injured in the firing,” Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari told Dawn, noting that the dead were Sajid, Shafiq, Faiz, Iftikhar and Salman. Khaled, by God, is vast. No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for this attack.
The Pakistani police began an investigation
Panjjor Senior Police Inspector Fazil Shah Bukhari said the incident was a terrorist attack and an investigation has been launched. Pakistani President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack. The Prime Minister also requested a report from Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti regarding this incident. Sharif reiterated his determination to take all possible steps to eliminate terrorism. Terrorists are targeting workers from Punjab in Balochistan province. At least 23 people were killed by terrorists in Musakhel, Balochistan province in August. Armed terrorists unloaded passengers from trucks and buses and shot them after asking for their IDs.
