NYPD is searching for a man who broke into an Upper East Side apartment and raped a 29-year-old woman. The accident occurred near East 92nd Street and First Avenue around 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, September 28. The suspect woke the woman who was sleeping in the apartment and punched her in the face. According to the New York Post, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) said the woman was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital after the incident, where she was reported to be in stable condition.
Post a video of the suspect
Police later released surveillance video of the suspect leaving the scene wearing blue jeans and a white shirt. On top of that, he was also wearing a jacket. The case has been referred to the Manhattan Special Victims Squad for further investigation. Police asked anyone with information about the rapist to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or Crimestoppers.nypd online.org.
Another harsh incident
And let us tell you that this horrific incident occurred at a time when cases of sexual assault against women were increasing in the Big Apple. In May this year, police arrested a man in connection with a brutal sexual assault, in which a man wrapped a belt around a woman’s neck, dragged her behind a car and raped her. Police arrested the suspect, 39-year-old Kashan Parks, on May 14. The accident happened on May 1 near East 152nd Street and Third Avenue.
