New York: Pakistan is insulted around the world for its disgraceful activities and statements. The latest case is that of the United Nations General Assembly, where Indian diplomat Bhavika Mangalanandan showed the mirror of truth to Pakistan and criticized the statements made by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Kashmir issues.
What is it all about?
India on Saturday criticized Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statements regarding Kashmir before the United Nations General Assembly, considering them “hypocrisy at its worst.” Bhavika Mangalanandan said the military-run state with a global reputation for terrorism, drugs, trade and transnational crime had the “audacity to attack the largest democracy in the world”.
“This morning unfortunately witnessed a farcical incident at this gathering,” Mangalanandan said. “As the world knows, Pakistan has long used cross-border terrorism as a weapon against its neighbours. It has attacked our parliament, our financial capital, Mumbai, markets and pilgrimage sites. The list is long. It is difficult to talk about violence.” In a country like this, anywhere is hypocrisy at its finest.
Mangalanandan said it was unusual to talk about political options in a country with a history of rigged elections, and that too in a democracy. Mangalanandan exposed the false statements of Pakistani Prime Minister and these answers of Mangalanandan are being discussed all over the world. Indians feel proud of him.
What else did Mangalanandan say?
The real truth is that Pakistan covets our territory and in fact has continuously used terrorism to disrupt elections in Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral part of India, Mangalanandan said. Some proposals for strategic restraint are noted. There can be no settlement with terrorism.
In fact, Pakistan must realize that cross-border terrorism against India will inevitably lead to consequences, he said. It is ironic that a country that committed genocide in 1971 and continues to persecute its minorities would dare to talk about intolerance and fear. The world can see for itself what Pakistan really is. We are talking about a country that hosted Osama bin Laden for a long time.
He said that the country has its fingerprints on many terrorist incidents around the world, and whose policies attract the remnants of many communities to make it their home. Perhaps it is not surprising that its Prime Minister would speak in this way in this hallowed hall. However, we must make clear how unacceptable his words are to all of us. We know that Pakistan wants to confront the truth with more lies. Repetition will not change anything, and our position is clear and there is no need to repeat it.
