Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, released in theaters on October 11, which seems to have stirred up a fresh controversy in the industry. Recently, Divya Khosla Kumar shared a post about Alia Bhatt’s film ‘Jigra’ in which she stated that Jigra’s box office collection is fake. The cinemas are empty and no one will watch the actress’s film. Divya shared a post regarding Jigra and Alia Bhatt on her Instagram story which created a stir across the globe and now with this post it seems like a new war is breaking out in Bollywood.
Divya accused Alia
Accusing Alia of showing Jigra’s fake collection, Divya Khosla shared a photo of an empty cinema hall and wrote in the caption, “Get a ticket yourself and report the fake collection. I went to City of Mall PVR to watch Jigra, Where the theater was completely empty, Alia Bhatt herself bought tickets and announced a fake collection.
Karan Johar gave this answer without giving his name
After this post of Divya, Karan Johar also shared a post on his Instagram story in which he did not take anyone’s name, but looking at the post, it seems that this post of Karan is a response to Divya Khosla. In his post, he wrote: “The best speech of fools is silence.”

Jigra’s box office collection
According to media reports, Alia’s film ‘Jigra’ collected Rs 4.5 crore on its first day in the country. However, Divya Khosla is in no way confident about the film’s first day collection. The actress believes that the collections of the film were released on the orders of the production house ‘Jigra’, which is considered one of the leading film studios of Hindi cinema. Interestingly, Divya’s film ‘Saavi’ also has the same jailbreak story as Alia’s ‘Jigra’. ‘Savi’ could only earn Rs 7.83 crore in its two weeks in theaters. Due to the title ‘Chandu Champion’, the film did not gain much audience in theatres.
Why did Divya target Jigra?
As for Alia’s ‘Jigra’, the film has earned Rs 4.5 crore on its first day. Despite Divya’s claims that Alia bought the tickets herself, there is a huge difference in the collections of both the films. Another reason for Divya’s attack on ‘Jigra’ is believed to be Rajkummar Rao and Trupti Dimri who starred in ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ which clashed with ‘Jigra’ at the box office. ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ was shot by Divya’s husband Bhushan Kumar.
