London: A British court sentenced a Pakistani citizen to life imprisonment for the murder of an Indian-origin restaurant worker in Britain. The British court issued this punishment to a 25-year-old man of Pakistani origin. An Indian restaurant manager was reportedly killed by a Pakistani national. Now the court has sentenced him to life imprisonment in this case.
The accident occurred on February 14 of this year in Reading, southeast England, when a car hit the restaurant manager while he was returning home on a bicycle, killing him. Pakistani national Shajeeb Khalid was found accused in this incident. After that, the British police arrested him. The Pakistani national was convicted last month of the murder of Vinesh Pattabarman, of Indian origin, 36, after a trial at Reading Crown Court, and was sentenced earlier this week.
The investigating officer is happy with the punishment given to the Pakistani
The investigating officers also seem happy with the life imprisonment of a Pakistani who killed an Indian citizen by hitting him with a car. Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwyn, senior investigating officer at Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “I am pleased with the lengthy sentence given to Khaled. This shows the despicable nature of his actions.” (Language)
